Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

iPhone contacts missing after PUK request?

Is there any reason contacts would go missing after a PUK request?

My girlfriend's father somehow ended up having to enter his PUK code into his phone and now reports all his contacts are missing.

I'm going to have a look at the phone when I see him later, but as someone who has never had an iPhone I thought I'd ask for some advice here first. Is there any reason contacts would be missing or invisible after a PUK request, and if not is there anyway to recover them?

Also, as a preventative measure, is there anything we can do to back them up on-line or to a hard drive in case this happens again?

It depends on how the iphone was setup, if you enter the unlock code several times there is an option that it wipes all the personal info from the phone. Probably the best way to sort is to do a restore from itunes.

Cant prevent the pin from been forgotten but would suggest that if he is using the phone a lot that maybe do a full back up through itunes every month
