Takeaway ruined by inferior ketchup

Got a lovely quarter pounder with cheese and chips from the local chipper and used the packet ketchup (Heinz) that came with it. The packet stuff is totally inferior to the bottle stuff. I'd run out of the bottle stuff and foolishly thought the packet stuff would do the job, but it didn't. My chip dipping was ruined. Worst Saturday night in ever.

Didn't think there was that much of a difference between smallpack heinz and bottle heinz.

That said I've noticed the difference between squeezy chef ketchup and the glass bottle variety.

Once again, Heinz has failed to ketchup with its competitors.

There's alot of sauce threads in AH. Why doesn't it get it's own space like Mustard does?

Probably an old packet that should have been thrown away some time ago.

Best to take it easy for a few days. Something like that can suck the joy out of living.

Stocking up on bottles of ketchup can start the recovery process. You'll be up and about again in no time.

    Cheapest of the cheap

If your local café stocks Kandee then the owner is a pure cheapskate and does not deserve your business

    Kandee sauce sounds very 'sweet'.

Almost as though it is bad for your teeth...

If you like spicy burgers, get a cheeseburger, add bacon, peppers, lettuce, jalapenos and drizzle on some Franks hot sauce.

If I was ever on death row that would be my last meal. From Five Guys.

    Manna from heaven.

I'm feeling a bit better now. I had a nice Brunch which nearly made up for the ketchup. I love Brunches.

I know Ah'ers are obsessed with it, but Franks sauce is blah

I once had someone get me a takeaway and when they gave it to me it was destroyed with vinegar. I actually almost cried :(

If you want a proper hot-sauce get some of this stuff - http://www.chillibugs.co.uk/Chilli_Sauce_By_Heat_Blair_s_Berserker_Stronger_Than_Death_1.asp

It's delicious as well as burny

    Ketchup is ****ing disgusting.

I'm not a ketchup fan (though I can and do use it sometimes), but I completely agree with you from a mayonnaise point of view. Many's the burger and chips ruined for me with nasty pretend mayonnaise.

Heinz ketchup isnt that great anyway. It's way too sweet or something.
It'd have to be Chef or Aldi ketchup for me please :p

We call it red sauce here, get up the yard with your fancy americana ketchup talk. :pac:

Nasty nasty nasty. If you ever get headlice you can rub that cheap mayo into your scalp and they will all die/leave. Makes you wonder what it does when you eat it.

You're eating a burger made from reconstituted Otter anus and you're moaning about the ketchup?
