Why would you leave out electrochemistry? The fact that the chapter is minuscule in comparison to broader quests optics such as Water makes it so much more valuable if a full question comes up.

Because doesn't water always make an appearance on the paper and that's not always the case with electroneg? I could be completely wrong though. Water also has an experiment that can come up in section A.

    BOOM! What an answer.

It's not really guaranteed to come up and it was the last thing we did in school so I don't really know it that well :)

I'm only learning organic, equilibrium, rates, water and experiments.

Anybody know where you can get a list of all the definitions?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,576 ✭✭✭Coeurdepirate

Is Le Châtelier's Principle just if a stress is applied to a system at equilibrium, the system adjusts itself to relieve the stress applied. ? Like if they ask to state LC's Principle is that what I'd say? Cause that's what I always say but I dunno if it's right or not :/

yep that's what i would say too.
But i would say 'alleviate' instead of 'relieve' but that wouldn't make a difference i don't think.

If you have the edco papers there is a list (not explained out) of all the definitions needed.

If the Wrinkler experiment comes up, will that be the titration exp or the random exp (Q2 or Q3) ?

I have a few sheets with all the definitions typed out word for word of the marking scheme that came up each year.
I don't have a scanner tho but my phone camera is pretty decent so i can take pics and upload them if anyone needs?
(The pictures come out rly clear, I study off it myself)

    See Attached.

    * Disclaimer: I didn't write these and they are not guaranteed to be the definitions on the 2012 marking scheme as the examiner changes them between years.
