Do you have any little things that make you smile or just stop for a second and think to yourself 'this is awesome'.

It could be a kitten playing with a piece of string, the way the wind shakes the trees, curling up when it's stormy outside, a baby's smile - you know, those little things that make you stop and appreciate life.

One for me is when you leave the house late in the evening, everything is still, you look up and one of the most beautiful shows on earth is on display for free - the stars.

Sometimes I just stand there for a few seconds, drink in the cool night air, and look up into the cosmos and just try to take it all in - I have to say it gives me great pleasure.

So, good people of AH, share the loveliness.

Standing on a cliff or headland on a grey, stormy day with the sea and the wind roaring about you. It really makes you appreciate the power of nature.

The fresh air and complete stillness of nighttime in the countryside. It's a wonderfully peaceful combination and makes me forget any worries I might have.
