Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Awful finishing from Bayern matched only by Chelsea's inability to retain possession.

This could go all the way to extra time at 0-0.

If Chelsea get even one good chance they might nick a goal, but not creating many chances.

I think you should lay off on the predictions :pac:

Bertrand is a nasty bit of work, lots of little digs at Lahm.

I have Drogba backed at 10/1 to score next. Always the man for the big occasion...

Interesting first half. Bayern well on top, chances a plenty. Chelsea sitting back as expected. Second half will be exactly the same until someone scores.

Take your points Mario, the goals will come.

"Tell the donkey to warm up, we're taking off Gomez".

I forgot Drogba was on the pitch that half. Chelsea need to be more attacking than this.

Can definitely see Chelsea sneaking one. They'll have to be happier with the score-line. Saying that Bayern are getting plenty of chances.

If you think the first half was dull, wait until you see the second half.

Bayern couldn't hit a barn door on front of goal, Ribery, great dribbler but awful at shooting. Robben, likewise, needs ten chances to score, seems the same for Gomez.

That Pepsi ad is incredibly lame.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Probably the most one sided first half since Istanbul. If Bayern don't get something soon to show for their domination, i could see Torres coming on and robbing a winner.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,465 ✭✭✭kitakyushu

Chelsea are getting a much easier time then they did v Barca. Ironically it's hurting them a bit because their counter-attacking game isn't nearly as likely to bear dividends.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,584 ✭✭✭Rekop dog

Gomez is like Andy Cole. needs ten chances before he scores

He has 40 goals in 43 games this season, averaging 3.6 shots per game, that is phenomenally efficient.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,627 ✭✭✭Sgt Pepper 64

If Chelsea had a quality left winger playing, we'd take them apart

At least they are matching them on throw ins.

Chelsea are only really capable of counter attacking and I think Bayern have a better defence than Barcalona, but worse forwards. So it's going to be a long night.

Get a few quid on a Gomez hat-trick....Chelsea looking terrible but unfortunately still in it. Didn't expect them to play the same as they did against Barca, thought they might have had a bit more balls and went for it.

a bit over the top there. and laymen has proven in the past he can give as good as he gets.

Gomez will either miss another 3 sitters or score all of them. He's a bit like that.

So all those people who said they didn't want to see a Barca - RM final in case it turned into a farce of diving and trying to get others sent off must be regretting it now!

Something along the lines of it being the most undeserving team to win it since Liverpool in 2005.:pac:

It's not as good as the one they did for the 2010 World Cup.

Both sides can't score, that means 0-0 until extra time.

It costs €50 per hour to light the outside of the Allianz Arena.

    Now you know.

Worth it. Should get sponsored by the electric company.
Do they have it on every night or just on match nights? Do they advertise using the lights?

Naaah - Probably costs more to insure it.
    Think about it. It'll come.....

So that's how it's to be, Gomez gets the winner, latching onto a right footed cross from Robben to make it 5-4 to Bayern!!

They change the colour for each match. Red for Bayern, blue for 1860 and white for Germany.
