Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fixing leather jacket (peeling)

    Hi Guys,

I have a beautiful leather jacket from Zara and yesterday I noticed that a small part of the paint/finishing on the jacket seems to have peeled away. It actually looks like some cigarette ash fell on it and burnt a tiny bit of the jacket (raging as I don't smoke). It's not huge (about 3/4 the size of a once cent coin) and no damage seems to have been done to the leather itself - just the paint/finishing.

Anyway, I was wondering if there's anything I can do to fix this myself? Is there any type of leather paint or polish I could get which would cover it up? If not, and I have to get the jacket fixed, how exactly would this be done?

I know I could bring the jacket to be cleaned as they polish the jacket at the end as part of the process but the jacket only cost €119 and getting cleaned would cost around €60 so I'm looking for a slightly cheaper fix if possible.

I should probably mention that the jacket's a wine/burgundy colour and not black.

    Cheers
