Training Holiday / Camp

Am looking to go away this year on a holiday / break with a difference. 1 -2 weeks of training, lots of sun and sensible socialising....meaning minumum/no alcohol. Training would be either crossfit based, traditional weight training or a mixture, something akin to Matt Wichlinski and his workouts. See http://www.tssathletics.com/

Goal of training holiday would be to both train very hard but also relax, take in the local environment , and ultimately to come back fitter than ever. Ive seen some professional services on offer for holiday camps but are outside my budget. Really looking for advice from members regarding sunny holiday destinations with access to relevant facilities, ie similar to Ironside here. Im just a regular guy who currently works out 4-5 times a week. Thanks All.

Not to hijack but any feedback from anyone who has been on one of those ISI holidays?
Things like standard of accommodation, facilities, types of training available, cost etc.
Very interested in one of these this year but would be interested to know if it lives up to the advertisements.

Well it's Poliquin stuff, so I'd be hesitant to believe any of the claims made about "typical gains", but I'd say it would be a very worthwhile and enjoyable week if nothing else!

Ah ok thanks, I wouldnt be thinking so much about gains, what's a week in the grand scheme of things anyway but more about technique for lifts and mobility workshops, a week of concentrating on OH squat and snatch form would be a lot more beneficial than a week of conditioning for me anyway, even a mix of the two would be great with seminar style lifting days split with conditioning days and lots of mobility stuff, hopefully leaving with some much better ideas on what to work on.
Thats what I would be hoping for from it but doesnt sound like thats on offer ? :)

No I think it's more appearance orientated tbh.

Sounds like you've very specific requirements that most "camps" probably aren't going to meet.

I think I'll be broke this summer but otherwise would love to do something like this.

Go to somewhere like Varna, Bulgaria, nice sea-side town. Get a bulgarian weightlifting coach in and an assistant or two that have good english, don't have to be world standard but just very good. Train twice a day, eat really well, stay in nice apartments, spend the evenings sight seeing, fishing, or what ever gay **** ppl do when they're not skull pints and getting ripped off in strip clubs.

just concentrate on things like you said, technical training in snatch and c&j, mobility stuff, maybe a bit of crossfit type **** or strong man to mix it up.

I'm sure some enterprising fella could set this up, sure **** it, let's all head to miltown malby and do it here.

I'm thinking of going to Spala in October.

August would be a good time too as the Olympics would be over.

Friend of mine went in Jamuary & said it was class.
