Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I cooked Shepherds Pie for a friend of mine and he starts spooning it onto buttered slices of bread. Absolutely gross. I had to look away.

This thread reminds me of being back in primary school where at break time a bottle would be passed around the class and people would pour in a bit of their drink or else add a bit of their lunch in and pass it on and then at the end some poor ****er would be dared to drink it! The things kids do!

Dubliner cheddar and raspberry jam, not invented by me, but worthy of a mention for those whose lips have not been graced by the pleasure that this delicacy is.
    (And weetabix buttered with sugar.)

I have my own version of the Bloody Mary.

Vodka, tom. juice, lemon/lime juice, chopped horseradish, tabasco, a few drops of worcestershire sauce, plenty of cracked black pepper, a spoonful of salsa and a pickled onion and then the whole thing into the blender, given a good blast and then into a pint glass full of ice. Awesome.

Foodwise, leftover vindaloo on toast with hot tea.

Loads of Reggae Reggae sauce added into Pasta Primavera when cooking. Nothing beats a spicy pasta primavera

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,828 ✭✭✭✭looksee

Not a lot of real originality here yet. Hot fish finger sangers are lovely.

Cheese goes with most things, cheese with rich fruit cake and cheese with apple pie are both north of England favourites.

Fruit cake eaten as a sandwich in bread and butter is also nice. Sliced eating apple and sugar in a sandwich. Peanut butter and banana. Goats cheese, crisps and coleslaw sandwich (had that today).

Not invented, but bubble and squeak is gorgeous. Left over veg, any sort but really needs potato and cabbage in it, with chopped up tinned corned beef. Put in a frying pan and fry - keep chopping at it till its all mixed up, then let it singe a bit underneath. Eat with tomato ketchup.

You left out the peanut butter and scallions. Oh, and it should be Tayto, served on white bread. Chocolate spread is optional.

It's a winning combination all right.

I came up with a dealy before. Toast up some bread, let the toast go cold and crispy, butter on some peanut butter, slice up some nice sweet juicy green apples, layer on the slices and then throw a couple of slices of swiss cheese on there.

Man I could go for one of those bad boys right about now.

Scallions are a yes but are rare around these parts. Taytos only if there is no King... taytos are not what they used to be :(. I stopped eating white bread a long time ago and cannot stomach it :) Peanut Butter should only be eaten with a spoon and Chocolate spread should only be eaten on toast :)

    granby burgers on toast. amazing

Sure are, but even better on burger buns with Mayo and Relish.

Chocolate and Silvermints are the perfect combination, forget those mint Aeros and such, just a square of milk or dark chocolate with a Silvermint is perfect!
