Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not something I invented but a popular dish in the Netherlands which is disgusting and should never have been invented. It has Sumatran influences. It's called Babi panggang.

    It's fackin' 'orrible.

    I like scrambled egg concoctions.

The ingredients are eggs, pinch of salt, and a little of everything else in the fridge.

I also have a shameful habit of putting ANYTHING in a sandwich.

Another good one's boiled eggs, raw onions, corned beef slices, a dollop of brown sauce and an Easy-single rammed into half a pita and microwaved for 20 seconds to turn the Easy-single into a kind of plastic cheese cement.

    Cuppa Barry's with that.

Semen & cottage cheese spread on a cracker.

Take two of these Kinder bars, and put them lenghtways in a tortilla wrap.
Roll up the wrap, and toast in pre-heated George Foreman grill for 2-3 minutes.
Can be eaten hand-held like a toasted wrap, or else in a bowl with ice cream (melty goodness) :pac:

Ham/corned beef and crackers, with mustard. Take your ham, fold it up so it will fit nicely between the crackers, then spread your mustard across it with a knife. Delish! It takes no time to make.

Don't use cream crackers, they are bland as fu.ck, use some wheaty ones.

When me and my two housemates were broke, and we had their boyfriends coming over for dinner, I invented "Jaffa Cake Pudding". I basically whipped some cream, broke up a whole pack of Jaffa Cakes into it, then whipped the living sh*te out of it, till it became this thick lumpy paste.

    It was strangely very tasty.

When I was a kid I'd chew up a burger bite without swallowing it, then
make a "burger bite burger" with two dry burger bites and chewed burger bite.

    Wasn't great

not unusual where I come from but maybe here ...

black pudding goes brilliant with apples as a side.
Peel apples and chop into wedges, pan fry them in a bit of butter, you can have the pudding on one side, apples on the other.
They might go a bit mushy when they're soft, but it's gorgeous.

also salted peanuts go super with Camembert, and blue cheese mashed in butter (real butter) on a half roll with walnuts planted in it is goooorgeous.

Toasted bolognase and mozzarella garlic bread sandwiches.

Sandwich filling. Left over meat bolognase sauce (made with 50/50 beef and lamb, streaky bacon, sausage meat, onions, peppers, chilli pepper, finely diced carrot, mushrooms, tomato purree, tinned tomato, mixed herbs, cracked pepper, and beef stock) and mozzarella cheese.

Garlic butter spread on outside of sandwich, yes, outside.

    5 minutes in sandwich maker.

Delish, but for gawd sake, let cool, sauce will be hot.

I do the same but without the garlic butter. Also have cold bolognaise sarnies, the colder it is the better :)

Banana on toast with muesli and honey on top. Put under grill until muesli is golden then put butter on. Not so original perhaps but I love it :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,397 ✭✭✭Paparazzo

    Here's 2.
A spice burger, either get one in the chipper, or get the shop bought ones and grill it (which is probably even better than the chipper one), cut it into 3 and spread each part on a slice of buttered toast or bread. Ketchup is optional, I use a small amount.

A another one, a half slice of buttered toast wrapped around a segment of terrys chocolate orange.
