500GB Portable hard drive?

Hi all,

Not long ago I picked up a 500gb hard drive in Tesco for about €40. Nowadays I'm looking at over €90?

I've heard about flooding of Western Digital or such (I don't really pay too much attention to this kinda thing) affecting hard drive pricing (though I'm doubtful) but are there any good deals to be had out there at all, online or in physical stores (new, not used)?

Ended up buying off Amazon in the end. Worked out about €80 or so. Always thought the price of Hard Drives would continue to spiral downwards (not that I think they're overpriced, but having bought one before for €40 I'm surprised the cheapest I can find now is almost double that).

Still, a worthy investment, they are.

Got mine in Aldi's last year for about E70, a couple of months later it went for E35 :eek: so they normally come about in the summer/winter afaik.
