Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If it still works, then wait till the iphone 5 at the end of the summer. Upgrading from a 3g to an iphone 5 huge jump

There's no guarantee that the 5 will be out before october, and even then it might be sold out until January. If you need a phone now then you're better off buying one now.

Also try out the Lumia 800 as an alternative.

There is no way apple would do that, Most iphones were released in the summer with last year being the exception. Even if they did unveil the iPhone 5 in October they definitely wouldn't wait till January to release it.

The Lumia 800 is a lovely phone though (Hardware wise), Don't think Windows has much of a fight between iOS and Android

My point was that although it may be released, actually getting your hands on one could be an issue for a month or two. The iPhone has always been released later in the year in Ireland, and then they were hard to get. Bit much too wait 5 months for a phone, better to buy now and enjoy it.

Also the new iPhone could have teething problems, better to get the one that's been out a few months and is working perfectly.

Ye fair enough, i see your point. I'm an early adopter

But with each release of an apple product the time between the unveiling and the release(Even in Eire) is getting shorter. The time for the ipad 1 was months, while the ipad 3 was two weeks.

Sure i got the ipad 3 on release day ,here, no problem.;)

As for the teething problems, there might well be a problem or two, but people always over hype these simply because its an apple product
