Hearing we equalised through an overhead kick. Maybe if we concentrated on scoring normal goals we'd be further up the table!

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Listening to the Rovers game in Dublin, sounds like we have been terrible.

Shocked that Pats lost to 10 man Dundalk. What the feck!

FT UCD win 1-0. C'mon Monaghan, hang on for a point!

Shamrock Rovers 2011 would score to beat this Monaghan team.

What is it about Shels and their love for conceeding injury time goals to lose matches at home:pac::pac:

    Stayed in to study :(

Huge 3 points to keep us away from the bottom.

    Crazy results overall.

Fantastic performance from the lads at the Bowl. Totally deserved win and outplayed Sligo for most of the game. Really should have won by 1 or 2 more but for some fantastic saves by Rogers. Pauls Corry and O Conor ran the midfield and Graham Rusk ran himself into the ground.
The result was even more important with Dundalk winning and Mons drawing. Massive massive game against Bray on Friday week. With a similar performance we should get our first away win of the season.

Careful you might be called obsessed;)

    Very happy with point.

11 points from possible 15 is decent return.

On a side note, McCabe's tackle on the Drogheda player from Friday was atrocious, very lucky not to have broken his leg.

Showing Kenny the tackle after was very strange. "Right.....yeah....." LOL

    Title charge is back on.

Chant of the night: "We'll win the league for Robin Gibb". :)

Kenny reaction in his post match interview was funny. He did not know what to say

And we used that one for his brother Maurice back in 2003!

''We'll win the league for Maurice Gibb.

We'll win the league for Maurice Gibb.

We'll win the league for the BeeGees

Great result for Derry tonight in the Brandywell, considering the other results went in our favour.

We played poorly in the 1st half and deservedly were 1-0 down. But the 2nd half was entertaining, going 2 - 1 up, then 2-2, then getting the winner. Look out for Stephen McLaughlins goal.

Thats us up to 4th, 1pt behind Pats and 2pt behind Rovers.

I was surprised at how well UCD coped, it was great. Really was deserved.

Complete opposite performance to the Shelbourne game 10 days ago which was the worst of the season. Played great football against the league leaders and drew a decent home crowd for once. Next three games (Bray, Dundalk and Monaghan) will determine whather we're headed towards midtable or a relegation battle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,965 ✭✭✭✭Gavin "shels"

Bohs goal was unreal, class one! We're sh!te, didn't look like a peno, didn't look like a ref and all in all McKeon had a woeful performance in a woeful match.

Couldn't make it to Shels game when it was on. Normally go to UCD games as well a Bray ones but can never remember names, but the blondie number 8 is a decent player.

Hopefully Bray can nab points (missing that match) but after that a little run of wins would be good to see.

Poxy result for us especially given the results elsewhere. Mons sat behind the ball the whole game and we couldn't break them down on an awful pitch. That said, don't know how the ball didn't go in the net later in the game. Hit the post twice.

Yeah that's Paul O' Conor. He's having a great season and was unlucky not to score at least one today. Rogers made some brilliant saves. One thing I noticed about Sligo is that a few of their outfield players seemed completely disinterested at times.

He's having a quality season alright, bit of flair too.

Yeah the one that stands out for me was Quigley at one point. Left back hits the ball up, he's walking towards UCD goal with back to ball, it rolls past him then UCD hit the crossbar. Didn't see many giving him a bollicking either.

Awful game for an hour, both teams could've played last man back, not a single shot. Dennehy came off and suddenly Rovers were all over them. How Greene hit the post and Sives missed from three yards I dunno.

Hancock hopeless as ever. Telling players to not timewaste all game, yet not booking anyone. Stopping play, stopping quick freekicks, giving a goalkick when his linesman is telling him it went out for a throw and then making up a place to throw it from.

Still, Pats.....hehehehe :pac: What happened at half-time for Dundalk's red card?

We were rubbish. UCD were brilliant. They totally deserved the win.

UCD won the midfield battle and deserved their win. We're lucky that Dundalk and Mons done well tonight.

GON and Kavo in same team looked good last night I thought.

What a crazy night of results. If anyone made money off an accumulator off that, I will dof my hat.

Happy with the draw away to Drogs. Next up for us in the league is away to Shams. Good time to play them? Or are someone due an absolute tonking? Ill take a draw right now please.

And last night any faint hopes of pushing for a Euro spot went out the window.

Another stupid red card too.

Some mad results last night. UCD beating Sligo was huge. They were helped with Monaghan drawing with Shamrock Rovers. Turning into a very interesting season. Bohs beating Shels was nice too. :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 504 ✭✭✭Madworld

Good result last night. I'd easily give up these wonder goals for a couple of more points and keep us away from the relegation zone.

Just regarding the crowd I couldn't get over the lack of Shels fans there. We outnumbered them and outsung them. And thats with our crowds being fairly pathetic this year.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,698 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

Being away from home seems to be suiting a lot of the struggling teams this season.

UCD draw at Rovers, Dundalk win at Pats and Derry, Shels win at Bohs, Bohs win at Shels, Cork win at Shels, Mons win at Bohs and Dundalk

Wouldn't say yous had more would have guessed a 800/700 breakdown roughly. We've always had sh!t support, but a hardcore one, say we had 800 last night, we had 800+ in Dalymount, Tallaght and probably will in Inchicore and our away supports have been consistent over the past few seasons with the long trips getting 100-120 and the closer trips (Athlone, Drogheda, etc...) getting 400+.

    TOWN TOWN TOWN!

Played shite and still one. Come on!

Just after realising this horrendous spelling error. Its the knacker's yard for me!
