aib have recently wrote to cashsave account customers informing them they will be converting these accounts to current accounts in july, so they can apply new charges on them, they say " the continued operation of your account after the above date will be deemed to confirm your acceptance" is this an attempt to change…

is this an attempt to change customers cashsave contracts by acquiescence?

Pretty much. They have told people of the change and advised that if the account continues to be used after a specified date then will be deemed to constitute acceptance.
