Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Signal issues on new iPad and getting hot

    Hi,

I got a new iPad yesterday. When I got it I noticed after about 30 min that the left side of the screen, near the bottom was getting quite hot. Is this Normal? The screen Was on full brightness and I was using 3G

The next problem, the most annoying one is that it is dropping the signal every hour or so. It's showing good strength 3G signal on O2. But then it disconnects saying data connection not available or something like that. It stays off for about a minute. Then it just starts working again.

Is there any way to fix this?

AFAIK getting warm is normal due to the quad core graphics chip, and you say it was on full brightness.

However, the disconnections are not normal. Could well be a network issue though, or a firmware issue. Make sure you've got the latest firmware installed. Also, have you any other SIM cards around you could try, for example Vodafone, Meteor or 3?

I have the latest firmware and I don't have any other sim cards to try, all I have is normal sized sim cards, but phones around me are having no problem.

Mine heats up quite a bit as well .more annoying though is that it is crashing at least twice a day mainly when using safari

Ye the heating up is normal, kinda nice on a cold night :pac:

My ipad used to drop off connection every now and then but that was due to the router it was connected to

    try settings-reset-reset all network settings
If that doesn't work, I'd get the sim replaced
