Hi. My father had a issue with a fire in his house which damaged the alarm cables. He contacted the alarm installer who never showed. He now has had the cables replaced but cannot activate the alarm as he does not have the engineer code for the alarm. The installer has "gone to ground" and other people in the area also have issues getting in touch with this guy.
Is there any way to get the engineers code so that he can get the alarm working again? Sent KKC an email but no reply as yet.

    Thanks.

Any licenced installation company can look after this for you.
Take a look at the Sticky here:

and the PSA register of licenced installers here:

You could try to default the system and set it back up again.
Turn off the mains to the alarm and open the control panel. Disconnect the battery and take off the factory link JP1. Power the system back up on the battery with the link removed and go to the keypad. If there is an option to default press yes. The system will go into alarm, use the default 1111 to disarm and 4567 to get into engineering. When the system defaults put the link back on and close up the control panel. Turn back on the mains and it is defaulted. If this does not work the system is engineer locked and an engineer will need to default the system for you.
