Hi all, have a quick query. I have K-9 mail on my Galaxy S2 and I can't set up my umail on it. I've entered my correct password and all that (student PIN x2) but it's the settings page I'm getting stuck on. The imap server is imap.googlemail.com and the port is 993.

Does anybody with an Android phone have the app and know how to set it up? If not, do some nice people with Android phones want to download the app and try get it working :D It's the best mail app in the market, just need to set up my umail now!

What I just do is use gmail and get my umail account sent to it. Much easier. Plus I really like the gmail app.

Yeah I have it set up on my gmail account but it's soooooo slow! K-9 is instant really, that's what I'm looking for. I have all my other accounts set up on K-9 too and I really like it so gonna try stick with it.

I might have a look at it later, it took me ages to get my cit email working on it, might be a similar problem

Nice one sure have a look anyway :) It's probably something simple, I'd be very good with phones and computers but still can't figure it out!

Are you sure you have the right password?
My course changed from pinx2 to something else at the start of this year.

Yeah I've tried my password both ways. It sets up fine with Thunderbird on my laptop and with the Gmail app. Just can't get it working on K-9. It's not my most active account so I'm not bothered enough to change email client. Would just be nice to get it working.

Unless it's with Thunderbird. I don't know how to do it on a Mac! Someone here surely has a Mac and can help. I'd advise checking out Mozilla Thunderbird though, excellent email client :)
