    Hi all,

Firstly I've cleared this thread with the moderators here, so thank you very much Boards.ie for your support! I've already posted this in the 'motors' section, but I know some people don't visit over there so I'll just pop it in here too.

I would like to let you know of a new car club based here in Ireland -

The Italian Car Club of Ireland : http://www.italiancarclubireland.com

The club charter is as follows:
    http://www.italiancarclubireland.com/?page_id=48

While we know a number of Italian clubs have come and gone over the years, here is why we think we can make our club work:
    http://italiancarclubireland.com/?page_id=2

Our first club meet is as follows:
    http://italiancarclubireland.com/icc...ic.php?f=3&t=2

The club is still in its infancy at the moment; there are 9 confirmed cars for the first meet and more than 18 dedicated regular owners online site it was launched last week. But, we hope these figures will grow over time. These members consist of a small network of owners throughout the country willing to help source parts and give advice available to fellow members. Most of us own a few car models and can pretty much help with anything these marques throw up! smile.gif

We're also acquiring club marquees, flags, 'bunting' & media equipment to allow us put together stands/displays at car shows under an Italian Owner Club entity for the summer. Members will be able to display their cars at these shows.

There are a few more 'meets' planned in the background for the summer season (updates on the meet-section). During these meets we will have a 'Lead' and 'Tail' car with magnetic signs on our cars with the club logo & website URL. We're trying to get a 'club' environment where most of the members/users will know each other and their cars personally. The concept behind the website is not to just have another online forum but to have a friendly Italian Owner Community for cars of all eras, models & value; vintage to modern.

Simply put, if you love your Italian car we want to hear from you. smile.gif

If you wish to join in and say hello then click here : http://italiancarclubireland.com/?page_id=113

Again, as I mentioned to the moderators here, our purpose is not to take forum traffic from the many excellent sites online, but to just promote the Italian marques and get like minded owners under an 'Italian Umbrella'.

    Many thanks again,
Cathal - email if you have any questions, criticisms or complements.

(ATTN MODS: Hope this is not considered too cheeky, delete/modify as appropriate).

    Hello again,

Just wanted to follow up on the introductory thread I posted a few weeks back. We're having our first meet on Sunday 17th June 2012 in the Wicklow mountains/area. Details are as follows:

    http://italiancarclubireland.com/icciforum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2

The route on Google maps is as follows:

    http://goo.gl/maps/O3te

We know our club event is on the same date as the Classic Live event at Mondello park. It's Fathers day too, so this is the ideal excuse for some of us to go for a spin with our cars! :) The 'meet' route is not very far from Mondello so if anyone want's to drop in to say a quick Hello and head off again that's fine. I know some people have said they are doing just that. We'll be aiming to be as punctual as possible on the route meeting points outlined as above.

This is our first meet/event so we're hoping as many people can come along for a spin as possible. Again, no matter what make, model, era or value; if you love your Italian car then we would love to see you...;)

Thanks again to Boards.ie for the support! It's very much appreciated.

    Best regards,
    Cathal

(I got the OK from the mods to post this again)

    Hi all,

Just to let you know the Italian Car Club of Ireland (www.icci.ie) will be having an event on Sunday 30th Sep 2012 in the Cork area.

The meet details are as follows: http://italiancarclubireland.com/icciforum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=352

Basically we're meeting in the Oriel Hotel Ballincollig Cork and then taking a spin to Cork Airport for some photos. Lunch at the Cork International Airport Hotel. Then off to Charles Fort Kinsale for photos inside the fort, followed by tea/coffee and dessert!

If anyone has an Italian motor you wish to show off and take for a spin you're more than welcome. Please do PM me you reg number first if you wish to take part in the airport photo session.

Thank again to boards.ie for allowing me to post up here again.

    Regards,
    Cathal

Some of our members do have a few FIAT classics like 500's, Ritmos, 124's etc. Are you looking for a particular car?

and I'll just pop in a plug for the club too if that is ok!?

Here are the details on the meet from last Sunday:

There is one particular member alright with a few Fiat 1100's in various states of repair, and a pristine 1500. A relative of his then has two 2300's.
