I see Weston has a new website in the style of its owner, Coneely Group.

Fair play to the new owner. New restaurant is fully open, totally refurbished and nicely set up. Also there seem to be loads of work in progress on the outside.

No breakfast on the Menu

    Looks great though.

Hope they upgrade the rest, toilets etc.

Was also there today - service was a bit slow but they're definitely in early days still - seemed the bar taps hadn't been piped back to the kegs yet for instance.

wake me when the kegs are reconnected :-)

looking forward to getting in soon , and good luck to the new outfit , EIWT was always home to good grub.

Would I be right in thinking that Weston would be a decent spot to be on the evening of 15th Sept/morning of 16th Sept?

Good opportunity to spot the post FlightFest aircraft recovery and then the departure on the Monday morning?

Not sure what aircraft will be using Weston...I assume all Aer Corps will be from Baldonnell, all Irish airline additions will be from DUB, that leaves Weston for anything not travelling over the Irish Sea (as the Vulcan, A380 and A346 are expected to do)

I was there last weekend for the College Ireland expo and the restaurant was looking amazing, had food in there too, top notch, their facebook has all the menus and some pictures of the renovations too.

Theres a Gulfstream II parked there outside for the last couple of days, not sure how long it will be there for

Fair play to the new owner, things are looking good!

Two nice visitors to Weston yesterday. Gulfstream II, N159NB, and then Ravenair Partenavia P68B, G-RVNG, landed and pulled up beside it.

Just seen Gulfstream II, N159NB take off over the N4 from Weston, I was driving by the Spa hotel, Wow ! what a sight and it was very low over the road, but fast before it went into the low rainy cloud base.:D

very impressive to see a jet like that when you are not expecting it.

I checked FR24 and can't see it anywhere now.

I wouldn't expect it to have ADS-B and there's no MLAT coverage in Ireland yet on FR24 I believe.

It headed to Reykjavik and then on to Anchorage, from where it is due to depart for Juneau in an hour or so.

Some night when we're landing in a blizzard with 40 knot crosswinds and our wings are on fire and smoke is filling the cabin I'll be very comforted to know that up front there's a crew that look fabulous. ;)
