Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anyone recommend a company to factory unlock an iPhone 4s? I am looking to buy a second hand one on adverts etc. Most are locked to a network. Are these proper factory unlocks or are they some type of software unlock? I'd prefer to buy directly from Apple but it's too expensive.

AFAIK it's not possible to software unlock
You can use a Gevey type sim, but firmware updates usually block those.
What network is te phone locked to, there are places which can request the unlock from apple for a cost, it differs depending on network

the other poster is right in what he said you may go with a factory unock for ease of use.

I got this crowd to do mine when Icame home from Oz, iPhone 4s on vodafone €50, www.gadgetrepair.ie

Did it all over phone didnt have to call to the shop at all. He did say irish networks cost more but still cheaper than network providers

I don't think it's possible other than from the original provider of the handset.
