Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Evening All,,im wondering has anyone cracked the whole blue for export trade..from my own personal experience with it its not easy,yet i here of people year in year out consistintly producing into this market,in the past 2 years we tryed hard i might add, to get the our best cows ai'd to the best bb bulls and all we got for our trouble is farty arse calfs that didnt grow,and of coarse c-sections,also our best bull calf got a growth in his air way that kept growing until he couldnt breath and died,and yet you talk to farmers that tell you theres all calfed un assisted and are getting top money come mart day,since then we bought a blonde stock bull,first crop due sep,oct so fingers crossed,,so come on people tell me your secrets.....:confused::confused::confused:

    started using bb 20 years ago
    initally had a fair few sections mostly out of charolais
    and simmental x cows.
    now all my cows are either 3/4 limousin or blondes
    this year no sections
    cows only get hay before they calve
    bulls used ross alo giga&dep
    also used stq on heifers

    What age and weight do you sell them at?

    usually sell them between 8 & 12 months
    never keep anything longer than 12 months

    How did you find Giga ???
    I was very tempted to try him on some of the cows this year but decided against . Thought id run into calving problems . He is a fantastic looking beast

    great calves probaly not the easiest calving bull
    dep is throwing big calves
