Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If person A (perhaps an apartment management company) sends a solicitors letter to person B for money owed and the situation is then resloved, i.e B pays up and no further issues - who pays the solicitor?

Is this one of those "if a tree falls when no one is around" type philosophical questions?

Whoever agreed to pay the solicitor.

From a physics perspective, I've never been happy with that tree question.

What does the lease say? A lot of management companies try to add on their own expenses to tenant accounts without any legal basis.

Yes, as M and H suggested, check the lease and also the management co agreement.

Failing such an agreement fees only payable if so ordered by court

And more than likely to fall foul of Unfair Contract Terms unless specifically brought to the tenant's attention.
