Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

NotBigSam in inspired form on twitter today. I think I want a Hammers win for him to be a fake premier league manager next year. Actually like both these teams, hope it's a good'en

I'd prefer Blackpool to Big Sams style of football.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Think I'd prefer Blackpool back up but wouldn't be a fan of either manager. Holloway just became annoying and tiresome very quickly and Sam... well Sam is just deluded.

You'd think he'd be focused more on the match and not on posting on Twitter :P. He has been in fantastic form today though. Hoping for a West Ham win just to see what he writes.

Have to agree about the likeability of both managers. Hoping for a Blackpool win though for Kevin Phillips and also for Dobbie (would be his 3rd straight playoff win).

It should be a good game. West Ham are favourites but the playoffs are always unpredictable. Going to go for a 2-1 Blackpool win.

As a combination of West Ham's treatment of Zola (who actually kept them up), the ownership of Gold and Sullivan and Big Sam ("the Championship play-off is bigger than the CL final", "I could've managed Real", etc.), I want Blackpool to win.

I know Holloway isn't everyone's cup of tea but he's a whole lot more palatable than the simply deluded Allardyce.

Up the Seasiders! I'd like to see Tom Ince in the Premier League. Holloway has not selected a sub GK again....

His post about being up reading American Psycho and listening to ''straight outta compton'' had me in stitches.

Surprised he hasn't posted something filthy about the girl that sang the anthem :pac:

Anyone else hate the way Don Goodman overhypes decent, but not spectacular, Championship level players?

If Matt Phillips was Kevin Phillips they'd be promoted by now.

Great finish. Even better pass from Taylor though.

What a miss Vaz Te! Huge chance

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,630 ✭✭✭steelcityblues

Knew Blackpool would regret the earlier chances. :(

    Terrible game.

Matt Phillips is going to be sick after this one. Two great chances wasted.

Sam is deluded? Your comment right here is one of these cases where somebody says something as a half joke and then gets quoted as being totally serious by the british tabloid rags who had nothing better to do. You of course just believe the rubbish they print.

And even at that, you mightn't like his style of football but he has been pretty successful at two unfashionable clubs being consistently in the top 10 in the Premier League. Both those clubs got relegated this year btw.

    Various sources:
I would be more suited to Inter Milan or Real Madrid. It wouldn't be a problem for me to go and manage those clubs because I would win the double or the league every time.

    So yeah.. He's deluded.

EDIT: It could have been done in a joking sort of way but it's impossible to tell with no video.

What a ball from Matt Phillips and a very tidy finish.

It half looks like Ince didn't hit the ball cleanly at all. If he did then I'd say Green would have saved it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,083 ✭✭✭DenMan

Very open game. Missed both goals. Come on West Ham

Well I can tell you for a fact that it was a done as a smart answer to a stupid question at a press conference.

"In a way do you feel that he(Mark Hughes) is more suited to Fulham(rather than Man City)?" was the question.

Sam's reply was "No, not at all, just as I'm not suited to Blackburn or Bolton, I'd be more suited to Inter Milan or Real Madrid" to which everyone laughed.

Encouraged by the laughs he then went on to say he'd win the double every year with them.

    Dobbie should have buried that

    Fair enough so.

    Come on Blackpool

Blackpool doing really well this half, look the most likely to score next.
    Tom Ince's goal was excellent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,316 ✭✭✭kevohmsford

What a waste from Collison he should have crossed the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,316 ✭✭✭kevohmsford

So unlucky Kevin Nolan, what a shot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,379 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

First half was pretty poor, but the second has been terrific!

Google vipbox for a stream, we can't post them here anymore.

Are we allowed to post streams again? I don't think it's allowed guys.

    Nolan!!! So close.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,316 ✭✭✭kevohmsford

If Blackpool had a decent striker this game would be over.
