Last day pranks?

A few lads from my school went streaking with some masks on through the school at lunch hour. They were chased and the VP pulled up in front of the exit and caught them.
Ultimately they were banned from the debs.

Some people tried putting cement in front of the gates. It hadn't set by the next day and was simply shoveled out of the way.
Someone else poured some fairy liquid into the cisterns in some of the toilets so that when you flush them you get suds everywhere. Don't think it really worked and either way, as soon as it happened they locked the jax.

Probably the most successful one was a few of my buddies climbing onto the roof of the main hall (which had a glass center) and they put big porno posters on it. They stuck and one of the janitors was left cleaning the roof all day.

Long story short - good pranks = bad consequences.
Do something fairly benign and you'll have a bit of fun, it'll be more likely to succeed and if you get caught you won't be too seriously punished.

I hate the entire concept of prank week. Its supposed to be funny pranks but it universally turns into really nasty hurtful ones that just cause chaos.

We have sort of a whole show of pranks set up.
    Okay so here it is:

Firstly, we're going to lace the staff room's water supply with laxatives. Yes I know.. It's not a nice thing to do but our year has been excluded from everything from the start of 5th year and it would be funny xD

Secondly, just a small one. We're going to turn off all the electricity and turn on the fire alarm at the same time. We're also planning on blocking all access to the school's router.

Lastly, and this is a bit more conventional. We're going to soak everyone. Water guns, buckets of water, etc etc.

It will be a laugh :3

yes, our leaving certs were going to do that five or six years ago. They didn't manage it as we found out about it. Just once you'll take responsibility for any pregnant teachers who may have miscarriages due to your prank or any teachers who have stomach or bowel problems which are affected by your prank I'm sure the staff of your school won't mind a bit.

How exactly would you lace someone's water supply with anything? Did you plan on digging to the mains pipe and then bursting the pipe and throwing in some laxatives (Which wouldn't work anyway due to the dilution).

Next time you want to write fiction, do a bit of research first.

    They drink bottled water.

Next time you don't understand, don't try to make yourself look smart.
I don't think it works like that.

    .

But why would you do that to someone? It doesn't make sense. They're there to do their job and educate you, you have no right to do something so stupid and childish IMO. I will be the first to willingly say I don't like some of my Teachers but why would you try and harm people like that without knowing the side effects of what your stupid 'prank' could do to people.

Seriously. If you're leaving School with that sort of mentality perhaps you should abstain from going near college next year.

You do realise when you're looking for a job your old School will usually be the first place perspective employers look for a reference? I wouldn't like that type of record to be anywhere near my file when i'm job searching to be honest.

And you don't think they'd notice some particles floating around in their water?

Even at that, I highly doubt anyone would be foolish enough to poison their teachers. It's as funny as loosening the bolts on the wheels of your teacher's car.

I think your going to have to learn not to take everything people say on a public forum as literal.

The key to a good prank is finding something that's funny but doesn't result in serious damage that's difficult to repair - that includes property damage and psychological damage.

If nobody's nose is seriously put out of joint than everyone can join in with the enjoyment - otherwise people will be left with an axe to grind. You don't want that of people who have a say in your future prospects.

The school here in town, there was a charity soccer match between teachers and students, 6 lads streaked through it! Night before, 4 lads drew penis' all over the field and car parks in lime!

Was that Nenagh CBS? Didn't all the streakers get expelled?
    Youtube video was hilarious tho!

I've been mulling over the idea of something related to the intercom system, play some daecent chunes all over the school through lunch, that kind of thing. If I can only find the building plans...

And you'd know all about being smart, wouldn't you?

Cop on and get your priorities straight. You're doing your Leaving Cert. in just over 2 weeks-the smile will be on the other side of your face then.

Regardless of his/her's actual intention to carry out the 'prank' or not, I still think it had to be said. Stuff like that has happened before, (as shown by rainbowtrout earlier in the thread). So I think someone should let him/her know just how stupid they're being. I don't care whether they're just joking or not, it's still not a funny idea.

It will probably be a big let down. The vast majority of LC students talk big and whatever they do is nothing out of the ordinary and not particularly imaginative. We've had a number of years where students have come to school in fancy dress, pyjamas, throwing water balloons outside the school at lunchtime.... wow, real rebels.

I've only seen one or two pranks in the last 10 years which were genuinely very clever and funny, simple and caused no harm or damage to anyone.

That's what my year did, and five people have been suspended >_>

No, I don't wish to inflict the inconvenience on any other school. One did involve an inflatable life size doll.....
