Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello everyone

I applied for JSA about 5 weeks ago. I am currently still waiting for a verdict. I was told by the Local Community welfare officer that there might be an issue with me getting JSA, I was in the UK for 5 months, looking for work. But no success. The CWO told me that I would be treated as a foreigner becuase I was away for a little bit. But another person i know was away for the same time and length and got their no problem. Are these things left to chance. Or can I do something about it. I'm an Irish national and Im 22. Can I go to the Social Welfare inspector and get this all sorted out?

    Thank you guys.

Patience! It was Sunday. Well I wouldn't panic yet the application times can be lengthy 8-10 weeks seems typical. Regarding 5 months away, as a rule they like to see that you have been resident here (bar short trips out of the state) when you apply (after all you could have made a wedge and come back with your hand out). Did they ask for any proof of your income/bank statements etc?
