Castle O'Toole- anyone heard of it?

Hi all,

I've just got some family history info suggesting that my antecedents may have lived in Castle O'Toole, Kilkenny prior to 1798. There certainly doesn't seem to be any such place around these days, but does anyone know is there a tradition that there was such a place anywhere in the county in the past? Unfortunately I don't know where in Kilkenny it might have been which is a bit of a pain in the hole.

Never heard of an O'Toole castle but this link suggests you're looking at maybe Carlow/Kildare pre norman invasion and then Powerscourt in Wicklow after that.

Yeah, I did a bit of googling before I posted here and I'm thinking the Kilkenny link might be a red herring alright. I'm just hoping someone here might prove me wrong!
