Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

just before my wife had our baby , we visted our gp

his answer was " a gentleman waits until the placenta has been removed "

Congratulations Lazygal :) I hope mum and baby are happy and well.

I'd lay off the boards account until she can type, so another six months or so :).

Everything you ever wanted to do in the next 18 years.
Parenthood is absolutely amazing but nothing can prepare you for the lack of time to do the things that you want to do.

I wouldn't change a thing though. Father of 2 boys here.

Ah jaysus .. you've only one baby to mind.. come back when you've hit 4 and it's starting to feel like work...

Sleep cannot be saved up.. and it's surprising how quickly you get used to it.. and sure with only one you can sleep during the day when the baby does..it's not like you 6 dinners to cook and 2 arsés to keep clean and that doesn't include your own. . or debate the usefulness of nail polish remover on beige carpet with a hormonal 13 year old when the 2 year old has been in the make-up wardrobe. .

Failing that go out speeding in the car and if you get stopped tell the guard you're in labour just to see if you get an escort to the hospital . .:D

I think what the OP is referring to is what to do before you have babies!!

Like travel, see the world, have a life of your own for a while before babies come into the equation. Like go back to school, further study, get career off the ground and so on. Do and see things you wouldn't do when you have kids.
