    My friend is looking for a wetsuit. What and where are the best value for money? I see lidl are doing a offer this week. would that be the best?

    Ask your friend to post up a few details about what s/he wants to use the suit for.
    That will have a big bearing on the advice given.

    Surfing or scuba diving.

    Your friend will need 2 different suits, so.

    For diving, in Irish waters, s/he'll need 10-12mm of neoprene on the torso, 5-7mm on the arms and legs.

    For surfing, s/he'll need 3-5mm on the torso, and 2-3mm on the arms and legs.

    Keep an eye on aldi / lidl. They had decent wet suits for cheap advertised a while ago.
