Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Advice: Are these suitable for a wedding?

    Hiya all, :-)

In a couple of months I'll be attending the first wedding I have been to since I was a child. As a result of having never had to dress myself for one before, I don't know exactly what would be reasonable to wear to a wedding and am currently more than just a little  about it.

Anyways, I thought it might be great excuse to give my most recent Irregular Choice acquisition an outing but I was wondering if it would be a little bit too much to wear them to a wedding?

    These are they:

Would it be best to try and tone them down a fair bit or are they just too loud to wear at all?

My intention is to wear either a 50s style halter dress with a full skirt (something like this), a tea dress or a dress with a peter pan collar to the wedding. The first two options being my preference as they'd be a lot more flattering. I have a few dresses in mind but I'm not yet sure about building an outfit around a pair of shoes that mightn't even be appropriate to wear.

Any help with whether any of this sounds like it would be okay or not would be brilliant.

    Muchos thanks in advance :)

I think they are fab! and yes you can wear them to a wedding, but i would keep the dress very very simple, and in no other colour that one of the colours on the shoe/boot. which might not be that easy to match.
The gold is probably a bit much for a dress, so maybe try and get a dress in the purple/wine colour.
