Maybe she just looks like that porn star. If it just looks for similar photos it may not be her.

No its deffo her. Some of the photos are the exact same.

Is there really a porn industry in Ireland!!!

I remember reading in the paper a while back about some British porn star who travelled around Ireland having sex with random Irish men in a caravan. It was all filmed. I later found out that she made a stop over in my town. Damn I missed my chance.

Ok, so that was sha-mazing. She is brilliant. That is all.

Good to hear it went well :)

So there's loads of Irish Porn stars on POF? Interesting, to say the least.

I think 'stars' is a bit of a stretch. Nowadays every frat boy with a webcam fancies themself as something of a pornographer. They're not though. They're just people riding in front of a low-def camera with terrible audio.
    mood wrote: »

Not really. Every year or so someone tries to start one up thinking they're some kind of entrepeneur. It never really gets off the ground. I've been asked more than once to be involved (as a sound recordist before anyone gets any big ideas), but the shoots never really materialise.

Ah you didn't TBH. She was a bit of a bowler and the shows' production values were quite poor.

Yes, second date. I liked her the first time we met, and she seemed to like me. Last night confirmed it. I've been living in apathy-ville with regards meeting someone for a while now and she has come out of no-where. She is brilliant. Whatever happens, however things pan out, I'm delighted I met her. She has rekindled a bit of belief in myself.

    :D

:D Nah, I always like to check what my details bring up on the interweb. I'm sure you google people before you agree to meet them?

What, as in google their name or photo? Nope, never. Not once.

  • Registered Users Posts: 30,746 ✭✭✭✭Galvasean

I hope people don't google my name, because when you do you find a story about a guy withe the same name as me who was arrested after being caught stealinga bunch of Buzz Lightyear dolls. I wouldn't mind, but it happened in the same city I live in!

If it was a story about dinosaur fossils or something, I'd instantly assume it was you, but you don't come across as a Buzz Lightyear fanatic. :pac:

Oh, I thought everyone did it. I do. Don't know how to do the photo thing though.

Fun Galvasean fact #132: a guy who used to write about mammoths for National Geographic shares the same name as me.

No guys I've met from online dating even knew my surname before going on a date with me, so there was no way they could Google me. Similarly, I never googled them, and never would. Don't see the point.

For me if I'm going to meet a "stranger" I just want to get some reassurance that they are who they say they are. If that makes sense. Some people won't really have much online presence but I still check.
I'm starting to sound like some freaky stalker now.

ETA: I was IM'ing a dude before we met and we both had each others full name due to it being on our email account.

I dunno. Any guy I've gone on a date with has been who they say they are. I just asked the right questions during the mail conversations.

For the images - you can use tineye.com Copy the pictures link location and pop it into the search box. Not sure how you do the google image search thing.

Kinda disappointed with the distinct lack of German men on POF. Plenty French and Greek, but no German... *tear*

Yep, one word. It did get my attention though (anything at all appearing in an empty mailbox would TBH), so the benefit of the doubt has been given. Chatting now. It's a bit of a hard graft in all honesty...

Are you in germany or have some stange fantasy involving german men?

That was painful. Loathe as I am to admit it, I'm actually glad it's over. Ever have one of those IM chats where it feels like you're doing all the driving and can't get a decent flow of conversation out of it? Probably should have guessed from the one word initial mail, but nothing ventured, nothing gained I suppose.

Holy mother of god. Now I understand the pain of some guys trying to get a girls number...

I have a strange fantasy involving German men :P

Just had such a wánker message me. He messaged me once, the usual 'hi, I liked your profile bla bla bla' and I didn't respond because I wasn't interested (long greasy hair, looked older than the age stated- just not for me). He then messaged me again saying that usually he didn't message someone after they didn't respond to the first one because he thought that not responding was rather rude, but to reconsider him because we seemed perfect for eachother. I politely thanked him for his kind messages, but said that he wasn't really my type as I usually go for nerdy guys and he seemed a bit more of a rocker (a kinder way, I thought, of saying I wasn't attracted to him physically). He then absolutely flipped the lid, accusing me of judging a book my its cover and really getting pissed off saying that I didn't have any right to refuse me because of that. What a freak of nature. Had we met in 'real life' I would have rejected him too. Starting to get a bit wary of POF- quite a whiff of desperation coming from some of the guys messaging me...

Just go into google images, click on the little camera icon on the right of the text box and upload your photo. Just hope and pray no ex's secretly filmed you at some stage. ;)

I guess that's why most people don't reply. Too many angry folk milling around itching for someone to vent at unfortunately. Disenheartening as it is to have so many mails gone unreplied to, I see where the girls are coming from.

Just someone asking me out, I agree, then I ask for their number, as you would do, or is that just me?? And I get the "add me to Facebook first".

Glad to see my 3 years in college and 3+ years of on set experience have not been entirely wasted.

A lot of people like to see the Facebook first before swapping numbers, to make sure teh person is who they appear to be.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,901 ✭✭✭Mince Pie

I can safely say I am not a porn star. Just checked my pics. Although the similar pictures did bring up some pictures of men. :(
Ta for telling me how to do it.

I know I don't speak for everybody but I "can't take my eyes off you" :pac:

That's the excuse I use for getting so many profile views, but no mail: clearly I'm so awesome that people think my profile must be fake. After all, why would someone so deadly not be snapped up by now?
