Do *that* many chicks actually put going out/socialising as an interest on their profile? Effing hell. Mine are:

    Rugby
    Cooking
    Reading
    Laughing at ridiculously lame jokes
    Playing knifey-spoony

I've probably just outed myself to a load of people but meh. I don't see what what big secret about online dating is anyway.

What's this ****e "I love going out with my girlies"

Does it mean they have daughters.and they love taking them out for the day to the beach or something.

Is it not more easier to say "I love spending time with my kids"

I am only new to online dating but so far I have been asked on four dates for next week.

Think I could get them all together for one big date? :pac:

In relation to the girls putting socialising as their interests...
The amount of guys that put 'working out' 'staying fit' 'love the gym' etc...
FFS. We get it. It's like the people on Facebook always posting that they are hitting the gym. Its actually becoming a pet peeve of mine at this point!
    Ok, rant over :)

People, both guys and girls use the "gym" as a status to show they are fit, much like young guys's flashing there 6 pack ... it's primal to attract a mate..

Let's be honest ladies, if you break it down, a 6 pack is pretty nice to look at, and it subconsciously tells you the guy maybe a good father .. as in the kids will grow up strong ..

ergo, people post saying " im off the the gym, i stay in shape, etc.. "

Is there something in your profile that would prompt that in which case in fairness he read it I suppose which is a start! Or else might just be looking for the shock factor to get u to reply. Either way can't think of a good comeback, sorry. :o

Forget the cooking I want to know how many dates played knifey-spoony and what her win/loss record is?

You call that a knife, THIS is a knife!

Ah well, I have make-up artistry down as an interest so that may indeed give the impression of high maintenance...hmmm I wonder would that be an issue:confused:...I don't really know what some guys consider to be high maintenance though

To be honest think it's the shock factor he's using alright to provoke a response from me..he's being tactical trying to draw me into a convo I would guess

Someone sent me a first message before saying "snob" too and honestly my profile comes across as anything but. I would say I come across very easygoing in my profile.

    Fiiiight!

Problem I can see with doing the multiple dates in one week thing would be you would need to keep notes on your hand to be sure you're talking to the right person

Well judging by this response, you are actually a bit of a snob. And stuck up.

    :D

Are you going to reply? Oh and what's knifey spoony or do I ask?

    Ah, care to clarify???

No I amn't going to respond to "licking elbows". I think he is out for NSA anyway so he messaged the wrong girl I guess :)

I would pay to see that fight!

Damn that is true, "So hello" *Looks at notebook* "Adam". :D
I may just ask to move two of them to the week after that then.

So far I am not too excited on any of the four but might as well give them the benefit of the doubt and see what happens. Lets hope none of them are serial killers, which I know was actually written on one guys profile that I came across. Creepy much!

Snob? Why not reply, "And you dear, are a little bit irksome" ;)

haha yeah I should have played along all right but it was just when I started OD so it was all a bit new to me

Sometimes though I can't be bothered playing along with messers

Jesus was beginning to think I was coming across as a snob haha

    Paranoid much :p

Most of the time I'm not bothered too but... at times... can be entertaining to blast them back :p

I don't know, some of them think its cool to slag you off, it's like a throw back to that silly guvenile way in which some guys tried to get your attention in the playground by throwing sticks at you or calling you 'loser' and running away - i reckon they're banking upon the 'oh drat, how could you ever get that from my profile i'm just lovely i swear' type response.

Yeah I've seen a couple of them. I don't know why some women feel the need to post pictures of their kids on POF. It's a bit off-putting.

Your constant woman-bashing is getting a *leetle* bit boring, Davey. Men do this all the time aswell. I couldn't give a sh*t about kids, so I don't find it particularly cute/attractive either. But does it annoy me to the point of having a pop at the men who do it in general? No.

Asking a question is not woman-bashing. Remarks are been made by many people on both genders. No need to get all defensive.

I would prefer a woman to do that because it makes it easier for a decision if you want to message them . I don't normally message women with kids because i am not ready to settle down just yet .
I was seeing someone from POF but she didn't tell me she had a kid but before people say i dumped her because she had a child . I dumped her because she wasn't telling me the truth . If she could hide the fact she had a child she could anything and that would worry me .

I think ladies or gents who are parents should definitely have it stated in their profile. I think photos should be of the person only and no-one else in them, whether they are friends or children.

I've been having a really nice mail convo with one guy. Downside side is that I'm away at the moment, and when I come back he'll then be away for 2 weeks so it's becoming a bit of a penpal situation. I think if/when we do meet up, we'll have good chats so I guess that's something! Was my own fault for logging onto POF while I'm away. :o
