    I would have said that smoking, tatoos and kids were all no no's for me but as it happens I have gone out with guys who smoked, had tatoos and children (not all the same guy mind you). When it came to it when I liked the guy none of them put me off. Now when I look at a profile although my preference is for a non-smoking, tattoo less and childless guy I don't rule any guy out based on this. I prefer to give guys a chance and meet them if we click through chat. If I like them enough I can overcome any of these really.

    I don't see the need to delete it though. Would it not be better to leave it derelict for a while and perhaps return at a later date if/when you are feeling more up to it?

    As for people saying they're deleting their account, the way I see it; I'll delete my account if/when I get lucky. Until, I see no point in deleting it.

    I used to use Craigslist back in the day in Ireland, and it always got results, one way or the other. Met my GF over here on Craigslist, too.

    I have a date with reality :)
    I'll get through my weekend without
    needing or looking for a date.
    I'll walk the green roads, clamber over the craggy landscape admire the Gentians take in the fresh smell of the sea near Ballyvaughan...

    And stop off for seafood in Linnanes at Newquay :)

    Then ill realized,offline dating has its merits....

    Life feels better after deleting my POF profile....

    Anything from 5 min to 6 months :)

    I suppose for me as a guy it's easy to go and meet someone spontaneously,when your 6 foot 8 inches in height and built like a brick house and able to look after yourself the fear of having to deal with a maniac isn't there.

    But for women it's different,the women would have a different approach

    For its reputation, I always found Coppers the worst place to meet people. Everyone is too drunk and I'd be more interested in just dancing to pass the time in there. :pac:

    Ideally it should be when you feel comfortable in meeting up. Realisitically its better to meet sooner rather than later. So 2 weeks of daily contact would be the limit for me. Anything further than that is going into penpal territory. But it really depends on how much contact you are having with someone - one mail a day/daily mail conversations/texting etc.
