What's Luxembourg city like..?

Hey I'm just wondering what it like living in Luxembourg city? I'm gong out on work placement for 8 months in January. Is the culture much different from Ireland? and is there much to do there ie. nightlife and activities during the evening etc. Any info would be much appreciated. Cheers Oldpice.

never lived there but been there for a few weekends.
I loved it, nice vibrant city but not too big. plenty to do. reminded me of a small german city.
i cant remember exactly, but i dont think the cost of living is that expensive
