Cataract removal

Does anybody know where i can have a cataract removed at a reasonable cost Most prices seem excessive for half an hours work i.e 2500 to 3500 euro. There is an 18 month waiting list on the national health so much for the special delivery unit set up by James Reilly Minister for health.
