another gaming rig 800+ euro

i just need the following components
money 800+ euro

motherboard(need a top spec one)
processor(future proof)
proper cpu cooling heatsink(big one) or would water cooling unit help
ram
graphics card
psu

i might go over budget if theres future proof graphics cards out there etc

i already have a good haf case,ssd drives,dvd,monitors etc
although my monitors are lg flat-screens they are only VGA is there a need to upgrade to hdmi monitors

There's many people who say that the GTX 670 is the best top-end card (price/performance) at the moment, and they're right.

However.

The 7970 is a beast at higher resolution (2560x1600) and multi-monitor set-ups (5760x1080). Overclocking further adds to the muscle of this card, more so than NVidia's Kepler lineup. That said, power consumption is higher than Kepler which is why the PSU is beefy, that PSU could support CF 7970, not that you would ever need that power . The 3GB frame buffer is much more future-proof compared to the GTX 670 as its performance has been limited in Eyefinity (surround) setups at times.

If you're only gaming on one screen though, go for the GTX 670 and SLI down the line if you feel like it.

never used minidp before for my vga 2 flatscreens will a minidp to vga be needed

If you wanted you could get a 27" 2560x1440 monitor for €250. Just look at the Yamakasi Catlep thread on this forum for more info. If you're just getting a 24" screen get the GTX 670 graphics card instead.

i remember buying a ati 48xx series card when they came out new and it dying after a year and a half.

Check out the websites of the vendors that intrest you and see what sort of warranty the manufacturer is offering out .
