Engineer survey - Cork

I rang a couple of places but they were both looking for ~€450 to survey a 3-bed house roughly 80m sq. Has anyone managed to find a cheaper surveyor in Cork? I have a friend up the country who got a survey done recently on a similar sized property for €300 so I'm hoping that I can find something closer to that figure.
