What is the Donkey Kong game there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

Have never played Pokemon of any description so looking forward to giving that a go!

    Sacrelige!

Throw all the other games in the bin and just play pokemon.

DK: King of Swing, never heard of it before. Played 10 minutes, its an amusing but I suspect limited platformer. One of the Repro carts.

I will admit to having always presumed they were mostly for kids but was reading recently that they do have some levels of depth to them. Delighted to have one fall into my lap. Will be giving it a whirl this evening.

    Outzone !

    DSCF5848.jpg

I suck at games like this, for some reason I have a hard time controlling the diagonals with the standard weapon but once I have a front locked weapon I get my revenge .
Already had that problem in the early days with games like Commando and I then tend to retreat and play carefully killing off enemy one by one when I should storm ahead like an insane Berserker but that gets me killed .
In Outzone your power bar slowly runs out so you have to advance and get the next power up fast or die .
Awesome game though so I just will have to practice..... a lot :p

Bloody brilliant game that! Love those Corstat boxes you use. Do you buy them in bulk or is there somewhere you can walk in and buy in person?

Really have to start caring for my PCBs more. They're all just in cardboard boxes with bubble wrap.

Bought them in Holland, paid for 10 and got 20 delivered :pac:

No use importing them because the shipping would kill any profit you make so better find them locally .

Nice to see that all the Jrpgs in my collection will finally get played, by him!

prefer not to say exactly, but more expensive than RRP and cheaper than any of the buy-it-nows on ebay.

Mortal Kombat 1 sound board. This better fix the sound issues with the mk board I bought once and for all. Spent a serious amount of time and a few quid trying to repair the original to no avail.

    Rescue on Fractalus!:

    Rescueon_zps736a6617.jpg

AH! I saw the label and it reminded me of a game I used to play on the C64, after Googling it (great tool that) it turns out the game which I have fond memories of is indeed 'Rescue on Fractalus!' Sweet, must try it out again.

Anyone try the classic emulator menu system for the Raspberry Pi yet? Called Chameleon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 728 ✭✭✭Los Lobos

Was also a huge fan of RoF!, hasn't aged well though for me personally. But that's playing on the c64, are there any better versions?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 616 ✭✭✭Casey120

    Awesome haul !!!

    Rescue on Fractalus!
I use to play that with a friend taking turns and the audio real loud, always fun if you got an alien in the space ship instead of a pilot .
That and Playing Mule on my Atari 800 against friends, good times .
