Just got an amazing deal from one of the lads over in the fighting game forum - I really don't know how it wasn't snapped up sooner.

Felt bad paying such a cheap price (20 euro!), but he's moving away and needs to clear everything out.

One thing I really did not expect, was for it to come boxed and in absolutely pristine condition - and a Japanese box too!

Here's some box porn for all my bearded box lover brethren out there. :pac:

And here's the stick itself. Oh, I forgot to mention, it's modded with seimitsu parts! :)

Looks like it's never really been used

    Dreamcast seimitsu twins.

So now I just need to find myself a player 2 for some Ikea cocktail shmup goodness!!

VERY cool man! Did you do anything with that semi-broken DC stick?

Oh that jap Saturn Virtua stick that you had a look at? Forgot that was upstairs!

Which means nope, it's still exactly the same way it was when you reassembled it unfortunately!

Had great plans to get one of those cthulhu adapters and put arcade parts in it but it never happened in the end.

I either need to get a yellow mesh ball for the other one, or a plain ball for the mesh one. Can't decide!

Also don't know whether to get a shaft cover for the new one or just remove the one on the yellow stick. They need to be uniform...!

My other one cost €60, and I thought that was a Bargain!

He was selling an original AES stick for 20 too! I already have too though, so thought it might be greedy :D

When you grab the balls with your hands sometimes it nice to have some roughness there :)

Picked up a AES controller from the same guy yesterday. No more playing the SNK AI for me.

Picked up Andro Dunos earlier today. What an amazing hori shooter, normally quite meh towards them but this is brilliant fun. Better than R-Type and Blazing Star put together! :p

Gorgeous looking visuals, fabulous audio and excellent gameplay. Not that easy either. I'm not sure if it's emulated in Mame but if it is, then definitely give it a try if you like shooters in general. I don't have the means to take decent quality video so pics will have to do. :)

Used Parcel Motel and the Belfast address redirected to down south to save on postage. Was posted from the UK on Friday so really fast delivery too. Will definitely use that again.

Just checked. Andro Dunos is on the list for the 161 in 1 cart. Will check that out when I get home tonight. Not sure about Mame.

What parcel motel did you use Andrew? None in the sunny south east which is a pain. Luckily there's one near me in Ballsbridge. I've only used it once bit its a great way to get around the expense of shipping pcbs from the UK.

Closest one was Cornelscourt up the N11 (actually it's in the Texaco across from the Magic Carpet). Bit of a pain for sure but had to drive up anyway.

I think their strategy for placement is in locations of 20,000 or more population. No chance of Arklow being on that list any time soon so!

Andro Dunos is available thru Mame alright. Nice shooter, really colourful like a typical PC Engine game but with better sound.

Certainly not a 'grail' GET! for me this, because I'm ashamedly very new to the Megaman series of games, but it's certainly a gem to pick up & have in the collection, am quite happy about owning it.

It's missing its manual, but I can remedy that over time by keeping an eye out for one & paying a stupid amount for it too.

    But here goes

I opened the cart to be doubly sure it was legit, & its the real deal. I traded the boxed PAL Nes for it & a couple of carts...nothing expensive really. Seeing as I had the NTSC Nes anyway now...I found it hard to turn down the trade!

So jealous Achillies, what was Nana Visitor like in person? Stewart has bearly aged a day in the last 30 years, the man is a testament to growing old gracefully! Thats Ira Behr at the end isn't it?

Yeah we had a nice quick chat about DS9 with Ira and his slight disappointment at the fact that fans were being slightly exploited by the DSTL convention by being charged for autos etc even though they'd paid enough to get in in the first place.

Nana Visitor was a sweetheart in person... she asked us to hold on while we waited for her so that she could retouch up her makeup for us, hah.

I complimented her on her role in Dark Angel and she really seemed to like that, it seemed to ingratiate her to us immediately. She asked us the usual where we were from and stuff like that. I then asked if I could be cheeky and ask for a photo even though there were signs everywhere for no photos.

She hapilly obliged much to her assistant's annoyance and when she saw that her assistant was a bit fed up with this she turned to her and said 'and you can take the photo!'. Lovely lovely woman.

Others that I met but couldn't take pictures of: Brent Spiner (very funny guy, quite genuine), Michael Dorn (grumpy arsehole), John DeLancie (another grumpy arsehole), David Warner (lovely man, was chatting to me about loving Irish Whiskey...), Dominic Keating.

Had a bit of a funny encounter with Dominic Keating actually... he had gotten a bit of a bad rep the night before as his 'stand up' routine at the TNG party was basically full of racist and homophobic jokes so nobody was queuing to see him the next day (whoops).

Anyway we had been getting our DSTL program signed by various people throughout the day and so far the program just had a few autos saying 'To Shannon...'. So I gave him the program and asked him to sign it 'To Steve'.

He looked at me then back at the program and back to me again and went 'erm... who's Shannon?', to which I replied 'Ohhh that's usually me at the weekend...'. His face was priceless... I then said 'Just kidding it's this beautiful woman behind me...'.

He lost it, burst out laughing and gave me a high five then called over Anthony Montgomery and Conner Trineer to retell what had just happened... 'and this guy without missing a beat says his name is Shannon on the weekends...' and they all lost it too, great moment and a fun memory of the con. He then signed the program 'To Steve, Touché'. You can see that below actually. Ohh and when he took Shannon's posted to be signed he put on a real fake drag voice and went 'erh so... should I make this out to Steve?'.

I forgave him for insulting the Irish on the spot then and there, haha.

It was a great trip, the all Captain's talks were amazing too.

Jealousy levels are off the scale!! :(

I'm surprised to hear about Dorn & De Lancie! Were they just real short with the people or something? Can't believe you met Nana Visitor, I love her! :D

Also Brent Spiner, he genuinely does come across as a total p1ss taker & very comedic! David Warner I wasn't sure who he was had to google that, I'd know his voice anywhere now I know who he is! Epic stuff, Domnick Keating & Conor Trineer too...awesome awesome stuff. Well done, & well told!

Did you meet Avery Brooks? Please don't tell me he was a grumpy asshole...
