Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Moving home to Europe

    Hi Guys, my girlfriend is moving home to hungary after living and working and paying taxes in ireland for 6 years. Can someone tell us for definite if she is entitled to claim benefits and transfer them to hungary? She has been told different stories each time she visits or calls the welfare office. Her flight is planned for the end of this month so it's getting desperate.

    The main points of her conversations are as follows

    1) Having resigned from her job she is not entitled to any benefits

    2) Having resigned her job to move home she has to stay in ireland for another 4 weeks claiming benefit before it can be transferred, then it can be transferred for 3 months

    any help here is much appreciated

    3) Having resigned her job a disallowance period of up to 9 weeks can be imposed and she will have to stay in ireland for another 4 weeks after disallowance claiming benefit before it can be transferred, then it can be transferred for 78 days.
