    Yes i know we have gone off topic by pushing sauces but I can recommend whoop ass, you can get it in Harvey nicks in Dundrum.

    Ya's are a pack of mad bastids. Rubbed some cayenne pepper on a chicken breast and fried it up with some jalapenos, onions and peppers. Added a load of Nandos Piri Piri Hot Sauce to it and let it simmer for a while. Served it up in a wrap with salad.

    Ate half of it, then had to give up. Burned the gob off me.

    Don't know how anyone is able for the really hot stuff.

    Bought a bottle of Extreme Bhut Jolokia from the south devon chilli farm today.

    Bottle says "measured at over 1 million Scoville heat units" :

    So get the spoon time. Smells very nice, half a tea spoon expecting the worst but no, very nice heat, yes hot but no probs.

    Put it on spare ribs, the biz, nice taste, bit of the sweats after a while.

    Verdict, very good, would recommend it but I still fancy a bit more heat.

    Does anyone know of main street shops that would sell small bottle, less than 100ml because of the hand luggage limits of hot sauce, like heart throb.

    Thinking around Oxford street, OH going over and don't want to make it to difficult for her.

    Selfridges food hall would be worth a look, and I've never heard of a woman who'd object to her OH suggesting a visit there. Larger sizes can be posted home!

    Don't know about Hot Sauce, but Selfridges food hall is awesome, definitely worth a trip. Lots of really random but cool ingredients. I'd imagine you might find some unusual hot sauces there.

    Used this sauce from Tescos last night on some chicken.

    Bit on the fruity side but thats Habeneros for ya :pac:.
    Nice bit of a kick though nothing major but nicer then your usual so called spicy sauce u find in a local supermarket.

    It's an old friend and is a nice all rounder as is the east end sauce you can get from a lot of the Asian food stores.

    While up North, picked up a few jars of Pataks Phal extra hot sauce, haven't seen it down here, it's nice and would not burn the mouth off anyone into spicy food.

    I've had Amazon refused to send shampoos and things to Ireland, and I know a friend of mine was sending a package to her boyfriend in London a while back and the PO told her that she couldn't send liquids.

    In addition An Post specifies that they cannot accept liquids due to IATA regulations.

    It might be fine, but it's something to be aware of.

    Bought a pack of about 8 Naga Jolokia chillis in Fallon and Byrne today.

    Burn like a **** i swear i have never drank a pint so quick in my life and it made no difference at all!!! :pac:

    Had a look for them in there a few months back and there were none:(.

    Where were they, on the right where the other chillies/veg are or in packets in the eiles.

    Right beside the rest chillis was a sign over them saying something bout them being one the hottest in the world and the price.

    Try some roasted chile smokey flavour & balance as well as heat.

    Try and buy Green Anaheim chiles and roast on the BBQ or in the Oven.
    Char the bejesus out of them until they are black then let them steam in their own heat in a plastic bag. Peel off the skins (wear gloves and eye protection) and chop and de-seed.

    This recipe also works great in a slow cooker.

    2 lbs. lean beef round or pork
    2 T oil
    3 medium potatoes, diced (1/2"-3/4")
    1/2 cup chopped onions
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    6 green chile peppers (Anaheim or Hatch green chilis, not jalapenos)
    1/2 t oregano
    2 t salt

    How to make Green Chile Stew I N S T R U C T I O N S :
    PREPARE fresh Green chile, roast, peel, remove all seeds and chop.
    CUBE meat, sprinkle with salt and brown in the oil.
    ADD potatoes, onion, garlic, chile, oregano and enough water to cover. It should have a soupy consistency.
    SIMMER until potatoes are done (30-45 minutes), adding water if necessary.


    BTW - Chili (texas) Chile (southwestern)
