Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

? Really. Looked like a blatant dive to me. Pique got the ball, and Llorente just hit the deck.

Barca are unstoppable when they play like this.

you can see on the replay his shirt was being pulled

Why would they sell him?

Anyway, a nice break for Barcelona is all they needed, their squad was too stretched all season.

He hasn't had the happiest of seasons this time around. I don't see the rumours amounting to anything myself, but here's a story on it if you can read Spanish ot have google chrome to translate :phttp://www.fichajes.net/noticias/una-salida-para-pedro-20120520.html

The interesting thing about Barca tonight is that they're scoring goals they wouldn't usually score. One goal came from a highball from a corner, another was a shot outside the box.

Meh, was certainly not cause of him falling so dramatically to the ground.

He should have just stuck it in the net. Silly stuff.

That extra .5% of sharpness due to a bit of rest can make an significant difference. They've been clinical so far. Against Chelsea they created the chances as well but. just. couldn't. put. the. ball. in. the. net.

Bilbao just kicking lumps out of Barca now. Putrid football.

Hard to tell. He does some excellent stuff but then not so excellent stuff. Inconsistent definitely, crap probably not.

I said it before that Pinto is a cowboy. He is liable to do anything in goals, one minute doing something brilliant the next doing something ridiculously stupid.

Iniesta is playing some great football tonight.

It can be safely said that that would've been one of the greatest goals ever scored had Messi put the ball in.

I missed the first few minutes, was the crowd booing for the national anthem?

Pique has had a decent game, good to see he is finally copping himself on.

They're not a great side anyway, but to play their usual stuff against Barca is a disaster.

It isn't. They are just worn out after their season. No goals in their last five games.

    http://www.marca.com/2012/05/25/futbol/copa_rey/1337975082.html

Click on the video on the right of the screen and you can see for yourself.

Spanish TV ramped up the volume on the anthem to try to drown out the crowd, and they also shortened the anthem to 20 seconds, but even then you could hear some whistles.

The video above is from inside the stadium and shows the true extent of it.

Esperanza Aguirre also got a mention, with a loud rendition of 'Esperanza, hija de puta' going round the whole stadium before the match.

The game was over after 20 mins unfortunately. Bilbao play some neat stuff and probably had more possession than most have had against Barca, but that is a suicidal way to try and play them. You simply can't try to 'out-Barca' Barca.

Fitting send off for Pep, though it did feel slightly anti-climactic for Barca. There was some amount of Bilbao fans out partying tonight, I can only imagine what it would have been like if they had won.

Well they hadn't played a game in almost 2 weeks, and Barca didn't exactly have the shortest season either.

Just back from Madrid after going to the final.
Great night !!,,,even bumped into Graham Hunter kitted out in his Bilbao colours before we went in and got a pic with him.
Iniesta was immense, just unfortunate the game was basically over after 30mins.
We were also suprised that Bilbao seemed to have 3/4's of the tickets and took up most of the stadium, even in the Barca section.
Was nice to send Pep off with a win :D
