    Saw it nosing into the harbour this morning. Lots of delicate manoeuvring to get it lined up, turned around 180 degress and parked (moored) facing back out again. It really is a small harbour.

    my god, that heat didn't last long - When did it start snowing. Or are they doing a re-enactment of titanic in the docks.

    as cruise liners go, I'm afraid I could fit that one in my bath. :D

    Obviously going for the small luxury cruise market.
    I nearly fell over when I saw some of their best fares on their website.:
    The cheapest cruise is 2K but most are at least 5K and that's for the best available fare. :eek:

    Ah I see, it's not so much a luxury cruise liner as a luxury expedition liner for people who wouldn't be seen dead on the QM2.

    No doubt the passengers first expedition was to trek to Quay street and sample the local beverages.:D On a day like this, the heat must have taken it's toll on the expedition members.:P

    From the website;
    Silversea’s purpose-built Silver Explorer expedition ship (formerly the Prince Albert II) has been designed specifically for navigating waters in some of the world’s most remote destinations
    [TROLL]Ah, so Galway, then[/TROLL] :pac:

    Hope they have a good time, and mark Galway as a place to stop at.

    The cruise ship the Silver Explorer arrived in the Docks today for a visit to Galway. Nice to see some of these bigger ships coming to town. Not that big as far as cruise ships go but looks impressive in the docks.

    You'll have to go to Killybegs then, I'm afraid. She left this evening bound for there.
