Hi All,
Can you please spec out this build for my nephew please.

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming
3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? none
5. Do you need a monitor? no

5a. If yes, what size do you need.

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? 1920x1080 Yes

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? can purchase seperate.
7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Maybe later

Both the 450w, and 550w are in stock when I look at them.
It won't make any difference, it will help in the future if you ever want to do some upgrades but its not needed for that build.

You might as well spend the extra €6 for the 1TB drive.

Note that warranty on these are only 1 year since they were taken over by seagate.

You're right, you can see the 450w when looking at the site, but from the 'PC configurator' thingy then they're not available. Hmmm...

Don't use the configurator, just put all the components in yoru basket, search for rechner-zusammenbau and add it. That means they will build whatever's in the basket.

Been a while sicne I posted this and there have been some new hardware available, so was wondering should I make any changes to this build before I order.
I have sourced a iHas124 already and can remove this from the list.

Alternatively, the WD blue would have a 2 year warranty as opposed to 1 and would be slightly slower.

Hoping to order this tonight.

I wouldn't see the point, you'd be better off with an i3-2120 and then upgrading to a 2500k/3570 later on. Also, you can pick up a 6870 for cheaper, look here.

thanks Eboggles but I can't see this getting an upgrader in the future. It's for a lad that's 13 years old, so it will be a while. Will the i3-2120 be as good as the i5-3450, 2 cores vs 4 cores?

The i3 2120 is pretty great, and certainly won't bottleneck your system. You won't see a single frame difference in most games due to the fact that they're GPU bottlenecked. It'd be good as you could potentially bump up the graphics to a 7850 which would give you a much stronger system overall.

Got the same set-up - was exactly what I was looking for! Liking the blue lights and the case, very nice all around really!

Also a word for HWVS; ordered on Saturday, payment processed by AIB on Monday, dispatched from Germany on Monday, in the UK by Tuesday morning and delivered here on Friday morning. Awesome really.
