Foundation Irish and UCD

If I sit the foundation paper in Irish , can I study business and law in UCD. I had a horrible oral and I'm not arsed studying for the written paper

'(i) ‘Gaeilge – Bonnleibhéal’ (Irish – Foundation Level) will not be accepted for Matriculation Registration purposes; '

Is what it says, but it's not a requirement and it's not in my top 6, so does this apply to this course?
