    Hi there,

I need a few 1800uF 6.3v capacitors for a PC I'm fixing.. Is there anywhere in Kildare or Laois that I could get these... I know I can get them in Maplins or Radionics but I'd rather not drive to Dublin for a few 60c capacitors..

    thanks in advance..

    J

I'm sure many computer repair shops should have some, just ring around and see

    Checkout ie.farnell.com.

They will ship them for free no mattter the cost of items. I ordered a couple of IC's before and the total was under €2. They posted them to me for free.

There's a €20 minimum order requirement if you're ordering with a credit card. Don't know about trade accounts though.

What I did the last time was get them shipped from radionics, and had most of the bits next day. Very impressive service...

I still havent found anywhere locally... I did order a couple of pots for my guitar from Donegan in Naas, but he had to have them ordered in, he didnt have any in stock.. I dont think they would have anything else like that in stock.. Very helpful guy in there though.

Still looking in to this one. I see Peats sell all sorts of electronic bits.

    Peat's List Of Capacitors

They hardly have them in stock in their shop Newbridge?
