Learning off Short Stories?

Ok so for English Paper 1 I plan on taking phrases, language, descriptions etc from a book of a collection of short stories I have. Now the short stories are all extremely good, filled with flowery language and excellent descriptions. I was just wondering if the corrector can dock you marks for writing stuff that...looks too good to be youre own, if you know what I mean? Like I might have a paragraph of excellent story setting the scene that I have learned off and then the next paragraph being my plain old boring English :P

Do they mind, or are they meant to just mark it as it is on the page? Thanks :)

I'm not sure, but it might mess with clarity a bit, and it'd tell the examiner you've learned stuff off. Personally I do it too but I can usually mimic it :L Why not break it up, e.g. put some nice phrases in everywhere?

Yep I suppose that makes more sense. Or I could full on plagerise a whole story and then it would be excellent throughout :D:D!
