Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Issue with sending a video clip from one 4S to another

I made a few short video clips on the 4S and sent them to a few mates.

The videos look great on my phone, but when the mates received them the quality had been downscaled (image cropped, blurry etc). I can see how the video clips looked to them from within my messages app and it's very poor.

Just wondering what's going on? Is it possible to send HD video quality using iMessage? I used both WIFI and 3G.

    Thanks.

Yes a limit on the filesize...the messages app condenses the max size allowed....but why does it also condense the quality of the clip it allows you to send?

AFAIK the limit is less than 1mb so, so rather than give you a second of your clip is compresses it right down to old skool Nokia quality ;)

Can iPhones do bluetooth file transfers via a jailbreak yet?

I've moved to android in the last year so I'm out of the loop with iOS.

I use PhotoTransfer from the App store to transfer files between iOS devices via Bluetooth. Works fine but it's a little slow.

PhotoSynch is another app that does BT transfer.

I use it to get pics/vids off the iPhone onto the iPad.

You could also use Dropbox - though you and your mates would need a shared account. Also you'd need to adjust the default settings in Dropbox to allow full size video upload/viewing. (Neither of those being an issue).

PhotoSync, is that the €1.59 universal app?

    Sounds about right.

I think I was in a hurry to get some transfers done and bought it. There's probably a free one that works the same, but this one certainly does the job.
