Looking to buy steam games that I can use my two controllers with, preferably on one pc so that I dont have to buy the game twice.

So far all I play on the controllers is trackmania on two different PCs, as that is free.

Any recommendations? Would street fighter x tekken be good?

Jamestown is addicting and seems to support several input methods.

I know that in street fighter iv you could so would presume its the same for a later game.

Seems to be the norm for all fighting games these days.

Yeah emulators work very well with controllers and as OP likes fighting games mugen (sp?) I think is the name of the emulation system that specialises in that genre.

I use my xbox 360 controller and I find that works with loads of PC games, last one I played being the Batman series. Also works well of course for the majority of sports games.

Ys Oath in Felghana just came out a few weeks ago. Not only will it work on you controller it's also ****ing brilliant as well. Ys Origin will be out this week. Same dealio there.

Also get Super Meat Boy and VVVVVV.

I can use my Xbox controller with Trine 2. grab the demo to see if yours are compatible. You can put a 3rd person on mouse keyboard too and have some three player fun:D

I use 2 Xbox controllers on my rig which would cover 80% of my games be it emulators and modern PC games.

Pretty much most if not all emulators support controller input, especially Xbox pads.

You can always use a program like Xpadder to map keys to your pad if a game doesn't support whatever one you have.

But you'll be fine with SF x Tekken since most of these cross platform games support controller input.

Thanks guys, great ideas! Not just interested in fight games either (I have none I just want one :D)

xpadder sounds good, as well, make any game playable. My controllers are senze asiany ones, so Im not sure about compatability, but as they are seethrough and light up with green water, I'm happy out. :p

Ys Oath in Felghana looks cool thanks! Might pick up that on steam.

Have super meat boy and vvvvv but not really played em yet. So that's good to know.

What are the options for someone on a mac? I have an i5 air and I'd like to test games like Braid and Torchlight on it to see if they work.

Just to note Oath in Felghana and VVVVVV aren't two player. But they're both amazing anyway.

It's complicated enough. I have my PS3 dualshock and 360 Fightstick hooked up to it, but TBH rely on a little bit of luck as well as crawling through various forum posts to get it working. Still, have played through the likes of Cave Story and Jamestown with them after a bit of work.

The PS3 bluetooth driver is built in with Snow Leopard onwards, so you just need a key mapper to get it to work. I used Gamepad Companion which is available for a few euro off the App Store. Works a treat, although there may be free alternatives out there.

Top Spin 2 is great, but I don't know if it's available on Steam.
