    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a new build for both home and gaming use, my last build was three years ago and I remember the insane amount of time I spent on youtube and toms hardware researching components. Two kids later its a little harder to dedicate that time. I was about to buy an alienware x51v but wasnt happy that I couldn't max out video settings on games on it, I'll be buying a 27 inch dell ultrasharp monitor and want to be able to max out crysis/COD etc.. on it, what is a good build for 2 thousand euro. I'm looking for the following:
    • I would love a mid/mini formfactor case like the x51, i hated having to move my coolermaster case, man that thing was heavy!
    • A quiet case - im thinking Fractal R3 and have also looked at the corsair cases, looking for clean look, not Alienware pimp my ride neon galore cases lol
    • Last I checked corsair ram was the business?
    • Last I checked ATI cards had tons of driver issues, thinking GTX 680 is the way to go - not interested in SLI or cross fire later as I found out in my last build you never get round to this
    • Quiet PSU
    • SSD or velociraptor running at 10,000 RPM, last build was raid 0 but not interested in this, just a fast primary and a 1tb for storage
    • Blu ray drive and DVD writer
    • The best I7 i can get for that sort of money, happy to overclock once i find someone who can do that for me!

Thank you all for the help, just getting too old and lazy to spend hours on end researching this.

    Regards,

    Moe

You've given us most of what we need, but mainly for the monitor/windows etc being included, fill this out:

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [19'/20'/22'/24'/etc.]

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1080/1440x900/etc.] [Yes/No]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/etc.]

Rdaly1, boards doesn't like people selling on thread. Make an advertisment on adverts.ie (or elsewhere) and then post to this thread if you want to draw attention to it in this forum.

Also, I wouldn't be worried about finding it a good gaming home since the graphics power isn't great. I suggest you enjoy it as it is as you would be unlikely to get a good price for it here.

Right, well with that budget, you're looking at an ITX Z77 board, and i5 3570K, a GTX 680, a 550W Amazon PSU, and a custom watercooling loop, all stuck in a Bitfenix Prodigy. I'm I'm the process of packing to move house at the minute, but there's a few of the lads here who know what I'm on about RE WCing, so they can spec that out. The rest can be searched for on HWVS.
