Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Face it the gaa is our native sport it's played in all the schools

Rugby soccer is only played in very little schools the gaa gives a lot of money for development in kids, fai don't they just pocket the money, we need all the schools from first class to leaving cert the choice to play soccer or not just don't have gaa ruling our sport in this country other wise we get what we are looking at now

You're saying that the one of the most successful managers in Italian top league football, a man that's won 10 league titles as a manager in 4 different countries, a manager who has a European Cup & two UEFA Cups under his belt, should have gone to basic coaching school?

Because of one poor Irish performance in the Euros?

    Fucking hell.

Just because Carl Lewis could run 100 meters in 9 seconds in 1991 doesn't mean he can now.

Something similar happened at the end of the Premier League. I ... I don't know if it's going to happen this time.

You mean, how come a poor Western European country be beaten by a poor Eastern European country?

Possibly because the Croatians have much better players would be the answer.

But nobody's even heard of Croatians until a couple of years ago. I sure as hell didn't know they existed until recently. I mean how is a poor Eastern European country nobody's heard of supposed to get good players? I think this is all a ploy by the European Commission to prop up these Balkan countries' standing when they join the EU. There has to be foul play involved here someone. The Euros are already very politically influenced.

Jesus. They're not poor. They're not eastern European. And they came from Yugoslavia, who were a pretty good team back in the day.

Let's face it, they couldn't keep possession if they were on the pitch alone.

    Fair play to the crowd.

That's one hell of a way to support your team.

That verse of the fields of athenry alone lifted my spirits more than our equaliser.

Alot of players have came through from the former Yugoslavia, the same as Bosnia-Hertsagevena, another quality side who unfortunatly did not qualify on this occasion.

Tara what in the plan book let them win we beat Spain 1-0 we beat Italy 3-2 and we come second meet England in the last 16 beat them with a header 1-0 meet France in the semi beat them 2-1 and meet Germany in the final beat them in extra time

    The plan is looking good

I think the problem was there wasnt enough long balls or people singing Olé Olé.

Imagine how average we could be if we fixed those issues. Twice as much possession given away, twice as much Olé Olé.

Maybe a new manager too. Might be worth investing in someone who speaks the same language as the players. Not sure "Go, its good, play ball very very congratulation" is a great game plan with our particular skill set (giving away possession, standing around confused and hoofing it up the field).

I know they have to analyse the game and all but I hate when they just give up so easily. Stay positive and support the players.

that Cox sub to me looked like, to me at least, just having an extra striker at set pieces and hoping he could do a job defensively. when that sub came I think trap thought we just couldn't get the ball and keep it that point.

I'll still be cheering on Thursday, tournament football is a funny thing, you never know.

really ?? seriously did you just type that ?
as if things are not bad enough as they are you resort to pseudo racism
by your logic no one should be able to work with another who speaks a different language - pathetic

Bring back Jack, he knew how to make the most of it where the spirt was willing but the talent and ability was lacking.

That was Jack's tactics right there. Only he had a few big heads up front and a much better group of players to pick from.

Pinch of salt my hot headed little friend. You think I was seriously suggesting more Olé Olé and long ball too ?

Anyway its not racist to say a guy who cant speak English cant speak English either. Its a little thing I like to call the truth. By my logic two people who can speak the same language would understand each other a lot better than two people whop dont. Crazy an all as it sounds.

Almost forgot. *scoff* pathetic derp derp.
