I'm sure most are miles ahead of me here but I just saw on reddit that the make voice actor for V is a Dub. Nicrnliytlr bit of trivia to find at the start of a playthrough.

Funny enough I think the bugs are the least of the game’s problems - they’re the most easily fixable. The more obvious and concerning problem to me is that a lot of the gameplay feels rather flat and half-baked. You can see the ideas there, but almost as if CDPR never managed to push their design beyond what we’ve seen before. It’s still early days, but the novelty from the first few hours is mostly in surface level detail as opposed to anything more substantial. Like the setup for the brain dance stuff is immensely cool (dodgy flashing lights aside!), but then you’re just into a boring old detective mode when you start playing around inside them.

There’s a sense so far that CDPR never quite found a way to make their mechanical systems sing or interplay in a genuinely interesting way - that’s based on the early set missions and a few side excursions. Nothing you haven’t seen RPGs or immersive sims do better before.

Early days yet, I have to say, but so far it’s all been a little underwhelming on anything other than a graphical level, general city architecture / atmosphere, and the quality of the performances (writing’s a very mixed bag so far).

Ya, Id agree. Ignoring the bugs, which bar the crashes haven't been do bad for me yet, gameplay isn't great. Driving is a chore I find, and the gunplay is pretty meh. Even with the bugs fixed, this isn't a Witcher 2 or 3 level of quality to me

I pre-ordered it and Shopto appear to not even have shipped it. I won't be buying anything from them again, though with the hard brexit, that will likely apply to everything from the UK anyway. They don't even allow you to cancel the order as they have taken the money as of the 29th of Nov. but haven't posted it even though they sent amessage on the weekend saying the stock had arrived in their warehouse..

I'm playing as a nomad. The sheriff wasn't very happy with the lip I was giving him. Best thing of all was the Iguana.

Putting some more time into combat and I'm finding it to be quite like Mass Effect or Kotor with the hacking skills. I'm still finding it difficult to find a rewarding strategy with all the biohacking stuff but it seems like you could almost turn it into a semi turn based type of thing with the right types of specialisation and equipment.

Or maybe there's not much here to see, well I hope there is anyway. Something to avoid playing it all like a clunky cover shooter

Jesus, that's grim. They've really sold a pup to the old gen there.

Thank fúck I didn't pre-order it on the PS store and I was this close to doing it on Monday.

Jesus the difference between next gen and current gen. Its actually blurry on PS4, old xbox looks even worse.

I'm definitely gonna have to look up some tips for perks. If I have an hour free to play, I could be looking at the perk screen the whole time.

Also, crimes need to be dialed back a bit. Twice now I have parked my car a the street, maybe with too much handbrake, and scared people on the path but not hitting them. The report me and cops on me in seconds. No surrendering so blasting until I'm dead.

Does anyone know if the day one patch is included in the file size after install. I installed a physical copy on my series X, changing from disk one to disk two and back again when prompted but I wasn't watching it all the way. It's showing as a circa 59gb install now but it doesn't show as an update being installed.

On pc it was 59gb, plus about another 9gb for what I assume was the patch when I checked if it was playable yet around 9pm, plus one final 200mb-ish one that happened just before I launched it a little after midnight.

Same thing happened to me last night. A lad just felt from the sky and smashed into the ground. I couldn't tell if it was a bug or just some grim cyberpunk stuff....

I'm not sure I follow? I'm watching the video but must be missing your overall point? Then again I also cannot for the life of me find the guy in the "shiny purple pants" he was referring to either, so... :pac:

Actually loved the random faller from the building though personally, that would instantly throw me off whatever I was doing into wanting to investigate if anything was going on in the levels above that caused him to fall, or to "fall". ;)

If it's just a bug though and more than very rare, then yeah that could definitely be an issue.

I'm in the exact same boat, charging you and 5 days later they STILL haven't shipped it. I'm lucky in that I'm not in a rush for it as I have other games to play, but if I was waiting for it I'd be ****ing livid.

Did you open a ticket or email customer service or anything?

While he's singing praises for the atmosphere and immersion an NPC is gliding through :)

The subreddit seems to be in a civil war about it, judging by the thread titles. "It's fine" versus "It's a shítshow".

Just looking at the second video, why does he think having raytracing off is causing stuff to disappear into the ground? He seems genuinely confused that turning on raytracing doesn’t fix this blatant bug.

C’mon like, can’t blame raytracing being off for causing bugs completely unrelated to raytracing. ‘Raytracing’ quickly becoming a catch all buzzword to explain away bugs it seems. ‘Oh you can’t run raytracing? That explains why props are randomly taking off into orbit!’

I'm only messing, I haven't played it. I'll wait until I get a new PC build and use Cyberpunk to give it a god run through its paces. By then hopefully the bugs will be fixed.

It's good so far. People need to calm down on reddit. But that won't happen.

They shouldn't have marketed it as running well on last generation if it doesn't run well on last generation.
